Today I wanted to explain a little bit ten basic tips for healthy eating, due it is one of the most persecuted purposes for the New Year, and here I have some tips you could follow to achieve it!

Is well known that eating better and healthier it's one of the pillars along with exercise of a good healthy lifestyle. Here I have some tips that I followed last year and has helped me, not to lose weight, but to be healthier and feel happier with myself and my body.


1- Chew your food slowly as it will help your digestion

2- Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables every day. It doesn’t have to be spinach or oranges, or any other that you might not like. The trick is to find something you like or can accept and introduce it slowly in your diet until you will be eating vegetables and fruits every day (not all the time though).

3- Fill the trolley with more low-fat or fat dairy products rather than fatty ones!

4- Choose more “healthy fats” lich olive oil, rather than others like butter which contains more fat! Also, olive oil contains greater richness in antioxidants.

5- If you like fish, the best one I have found is the blue one. According to doctors we should eat fish at least 3 times per week.

6- Opt for meat with less fat such as turkey, or chicken. If you like it, you can also count rabbit and ostrich (in Spain we eat rabbit fecuently).

7- Don’t forget to drink water, I know it is one of the most boring drinks on the planet, but also the most healthier, you can drink some sodas time to time but remember that sugary drinks are high in calories and if you abuse them, they will make you gain weight.

8- Try to move more or if you can, exercice at least 4 times a week for 40 minutes a day, is important that you don’t preassure yourself with it as at the end, you won’t do anything at all. One thing that I did last year was have longer walks with my dog and instead to go by car to the supermarket, I went walking. I use my Fitbit to mark how much steps I do everyday and by the time I went from 5,000 to 10,000!!!

9- If you want to do a diet, try to avoid at all costs the “miracle remedies diet” or those which hasn’t been recommended by doctors or health professionals.

10- Keep a regular schedule for meals.
